This standard is the first Chinese national standard for hot tack test, it specifies how to test hot seal strength immediately after the heat sealing and before the sealing surface cools down. Through hot tack tests, the manufacturer can select proper packaging materials and solve the problems with packaging bags which may break during filling process.
GB/T 34445-2017 was one of the second batch of standards planned by Standardization Administration of The People’s Republic of China. It was jointly drafted by China National Technical Committee of Standardization for Plastic Products, Beijing Municipal Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision, Labthink Instruments Co., Ltd, Kingderway Packaging Co., Ltd and Guangdong Decro Film New Materials Co., Ltd.
The drafting team of this standard did a full research and study on the industrial situation and related international standards and verified all testing procedures with Labthink’s Hot Tack Tester. It took 3 years to complete all the jobs including drafting, consultation, modification and reviewing of the standard and finally submit to Standardization Administration of The People’s Republic of China for final approval.
